Lately, the US has been plagued by a lot of serious weather systems. Due to this fact, spiders have begun lurking everywhere. Even though they usually reside outdoors, they can also become a big problem when they decide to move into your house and build their spider webs. They are especially annoying in the kitchen.

1.Peppermint essential oil, dishwashing liquid: Put one tablespoon peppermint essential oil, one teaspoon dish soap and three cups of water into a spray bottle. Shake well. Spray this mixture around your home. While this mixture is great for keeping spiders away, it will not kill them.
2.Cinnamon: Sprinkling cinnamon around the outside of your home keeps spiders away.
3.Minty cotton balls: You should dip cotton balls in peppermint essential oil and placing them outside or under your home. One drop of peppermint essential oil is enough to kill a spider. Do not to get the oil on your clothes, skin, or wood. Keep the oil out of the reach of children.
4.Chestnuts: Another effective way to repel spiders is to keep chestnuts on the window sills.
5.Salt water: Salt is a natural spider killer. You can make your own natural spider killer by putting 1/8 cup of salt in one gallon of warm water. Pour the saltwater into a spray bottle. Spray the saltwater on spiders or spider nests to kill them.
6.White vinegar: Diluted vinegar has a wide range of uses around the home, and deterring spiders is one of them. Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar and water and use the mixture to spray cracks and crannies. Alternatively, you can add few drops peppermint oil in the mixture.
7.Citrus peels: Spiders cannot stand citrus flavor, so rubbing the citrus peel on windowsills, bookshelves, and baseboards is a good way to prevent them from getting inside. Interestingly, lemon scented cleaner/furniture polish will do the trick, too.
8.Cedar hangers: Cedar works as an effective spider repellent. You can either use cedar mulch around the house to prevent them from getting inside use cedar hangers in the closet. Alternatively, you can place cedar blocks or shavings inside cupboards, drawers, and closets.
9.Tobacco: Spiders don’t like the smell of tobacco, which means it is good at keeping spiders out of your home. Just mix tobacco and water in a spray bottle and spraying it around the entrances to your home to keep spiders away.
10.Coconut oil: Coconut oil is already recognized as the modern cure-all! Mixing one part coconut oil with two parts water and spraying it around the house can also help prevent spiders from entering the house.
